This book was the perfect combination of scorching hot and incredibly sweet. The story is about a Ferox demon and a Sempire demon who have a bit of a past. They start off as enemies, at least as far as the guy demon, Rydin, is concerned. But she quickly turns all that anger into passion. I really enjoyed reading their story. And learning more about the world Ms. Dex is building. It's very intriguing. I can't wait to read what's next. Personally, I'd love it if Fin's story is next. But I'll read whatever Ms. Dex has in store happily. She's quickly becoming an auto-buy author for me :)Product details

Valia's Villain by Jocelyn Dex was a quick erotic paranormal read that was thoroughly entertaining. This book pretty much has everything I like in it – a cute plot that kept me giggling, great main as well as secondary characters, and wild hot sex! Rydin is a rough around the edges, ok he’s all-around rough but I still think he was hot. Valia was just so cute and perky instead of being irritating I found her entertaining. The dialog was quick and sassy. The sexy was wickedly delish. All the characters were so lovable that I wish the book had been longer so I could enjoy them more. I was so caught up in the story that frankly, once I started reading this book, I couldn't put it down. Even though I was sad to see it end, the HEA was very satisfying.
Anyone who enjoys giggles and heat in their erotica will get a kick out of Valia's Villain. I know I did. Now I need to go back and read the first book and patiently wait for the next book.

Just when I thought the first book couldn't be topped she goes and writes a better one! This was a fun and very sexy read and even though it wasn't very long the story is very satisfying!
In the first book we met Araya and Kean. This time we meet Valia, Araya's sister and also a Sempire demon and Rydin a Ferox demon. Rydin instantly recognizes Valia as the demon who kept him locked up and used as her sex slave and he's ready to finally get his revenge so he steals her away to his home in the demon realm to give out his punishment. Valia wants Rydin to be her next meal, being a Sempire she needs semen for nourishment, so when he takes her and then leaves her cuffed to his bed she's confused and annoyed but still willing. But once she finds out his real plans for her she isn't quite as willing...but not by much since she feels an undeniable connection to the big mean Ferox.
I think I have a thing for Ferox demons now cause Rydin is HOT and SO SO sweet in his own big overwhelming villainous way. I absolutely loved Valia. She's sexy and confident and really funny always teasing Rydin. It's very entertaining when she pokes at him and always gets a reaction. The two together should not work at all because they are complete opposites but they just fit and made for a great story and some really really hot sex!!! I'm very much looking forward to reading Fin's book next!

Valia's Villain is book 2 in Jocelyn Dex's Sempire Seduction series. Dex has managed to make this book even sexier than her first one, which I adored. In this sequel, we follow Araya's vivacious sister, Valia. Valia is a free-spirited demon who gets what she wants, when she wants. What she wants right now is a hot guy in a club. She seems to be immediately attracted to a Ferox demon who she has to have. He wants her too, it turns out. But not fully for the reasons she thinks. He wants to get revenge on her from being her prisoner thirty years ago. The Ferox demon, Rydin, was under contract. Her keeping him imprisoned has added an extra 50 years on his contract. He hates her for what she did, but he also can't fight the fact that he has feelings for her too.
*fans self* Well, goodness. Man, what an incredibly sexy read. I had a lot of fun reading this. Valia was quite a crazy character, but she was a lot of fun. She was always cracking jokes. She doesn't scare easily and she was very stubborn. There are times when she sort of reminded me of a teenager in the book. Araya is the younger sister, but you would never know it. Rydin is a Ferox demon. Ferox demons are usually sold into slavery at a very young age. Rydin is carrying out a job for the demon who holds his contract. While doing a job, Rydin kidnaps Valia and takes her back to the demon realm. He wants to starve her and keep her captive like she did to him thirty years ago. Valia doesn't remember Rydin at all. Even though she is supposed to be scared, Rydin is surprised that Valia is not that frightened because she can see he wants her no matter how much he claims to hate her. I loved the push-pull-sex relationship they had going on. Rydin is sweetheart deep, deep, deep down and needs a strong woman at his back. Valia had all of that and more.
I really love Rydin's story in this book. Rydin has been contracted to an Incubus demon named Debol. Debol is quite evil. He keeps a Sempire demon as a bargaining chip and has Rydin kill whoever he wants for no real reason (at least that we know of). Debol was just maniacal, but later on we see he is quite the coward. Valia finds out about Rydin's contract and she wants to help him. He doesn't trust her. He thinks it is a ruse so she can escape. I love how this changes for Rydin and Valia. It made me love Valia more seeing how she went about the last couple of chapters.
I really liked this book. I did have a couple of issues. I would have liked to know more about Debol and why he had Rydin kill off people in the book. I really wanted to know. I was especially curious with the character of Baden. What was the deal there? I hope we get more about Baden and his family dilemma. I also wish we had a backstory about Valia. I don't feel like I learned a lot about her. I love her personality even when she talks like a teenager sometimes, but what makes her who she is. Not much about her past except what happened between her and Rydin in the past.
Overall, this was a great novella. It was super sexy and fun. It is definitely an erotic read. The language may be a bit much for some. I have grown quite a bit with these. A few years ago I probably wouldn't have been so on board, but I have grown a bit since then and I get it now. Nonetheless, be cautious if erotic language isn't your thing. The characters made me laugh and the book had a lot of energy. I love what we learn about Fin and I still can't wait to see where his story goes. I am also very curious about Baden. This is a fun read that you will speed through. I am very addicted to this series and you will be too.
